Peak Level normalization

Adjust volume (RMS normalization)

Normalization allows you to adjust the volume of audio files to the same level. Normalization can be used to increase (or decrease) the amplitude of the audio files.

Peak Level normalization applies a constant amount of gain to the converted audio files to bring the highest peak to a target level, usually 100% (default setting).

Peak amplitude is not a reliable indicator of loudness, so consequently peak level normalization does not offer reliable normalization of perceived loudness. RMS normalization is more accurate.

The default level of RMS normalization is set to -14 dBrms, which is a good general setting for all types of music. Settings the RMS normalization level too high may introduce clipping of the audio signal.

Fade In

Gradually increase the volume from silence at the beginning. You can set the duration of Fade In a value between 1 and 10 seconds.

Fade Out

Gradually reduce to silence at the end. You can set the duration of Fade Out to a value between 1 and 10 seconds.

Leading silence

Allows you to remove (set to 0 seconds) or adjust the duration of silence at the beginning of the audio file.

Trailing silence

Allows you to remove (set to 0 seconds) or adjust the duration of silence at the end of the audio file.

Delete leading and trailing silence

Removes all silence from the beginning and from the end of the audio file.
