Convert, encode and organize FLAC audio
Convert WAV, AIFF, Apple Lossless (ALAC) and other supported formats to FLAC, or use FLAC as a source for MP3, AAC, M4A and more. Batch-process large folders with up to 64 parallel converters. Compatible lossless PCM conversions can preserve the original audio samples when sample rate and bit depth are unchanged and no DSP processing is applied.
FLAC compression and precision
Choose FLAC compression levels 1–8, uncompressed FLAC or extended compression modes such as -8 -e, -8 -p and -8 -ep. Lossless-to-lossless PCM conversions can preserve the audio samples bit-exactly when sample rate and bit depth remain unchanged and no DSP is applied. FLAC-to-MP3, AAC, Opus and other lossy conversions use precision processing while producing compressed output.
The built-in sample rate converter uses high-quality resampling when a new output rate is required, such as 96 kHz to 44.1 kHz. Resampling changes the sample values, even when the destination audio format is lossless.
Create MP3 listening copies from FLAC originals
Make portable MP3 copies of FLAC albums while retaining supported artist, album, track and artwork tags. For MP3 quality settings, album conversion tips and folder-preservation options, see the dedicated FLAC to MP3 converter page.
High-resolution FLAC sources, including 24-bit audio, are processed with floating-point precision before MP3 encoding. This helps avoid unnecessary intermediate processing loss; MP3 is a lossy format, so its output cannot retain every sample of the FLAC original.
Create MP3 versions for portable playback while retaining the original FLAC files as a lossless archive. Batch conversion processes entire albums and folders consistently, including supported metadata and artwork.
Convert FLAC+CUE (Cue Sheet) to Individual Tracks
The FLAC Converter provides comprehensive support for FLAC files accompanied by CUE sheets. It can accurately split a single FLAC image into individual audio tracks, each of which can be encoded into separate files in your preferred format.
For example, converting a FLAC+CUE combination into multiple MP3 files is fully automated and highly efficient. The converter leverages multi-threaded processing, allowing up to 64 parallel conversions to dramatically accelerate batch operations - even for large album images or extensive audio collections. All track metadata defined in the cue sheet is preserved during the split and conversion process, ensuring properly named and tagged output files.
Convert DSD to FLAC
FLAC Converter supports high-precision conversion from all major DSD audio file formats - including DSF (DSD Stream File), DFF (DSDIFF, with support for DST-compressed files), and WavPack DSD to high-quality FLAC output.
DSD-to-FLAC conversion is performed with accurate DSD-to-PCM decoding, allowing configurations such as DSD64 to 24-bit/96 kHz FLAC while preserving the integrity and dynamic range of the original signal. The internal processing pipeline uses high-resolution floating-point arithmetic to ensure clean signal translation, precise low-pass filtering, and proper handling of noise shaping artifacts inherent to DSD formats.
This makes the converter an ideal tool for archiving SACD rips or DSD masters into widely supported FLAC files, optimized for playback compatibility; FLAC stores the resulting PCM audio losslessly.
Convert SACD to FLAC
FLAC Converter enables high-quality conversion of both stereo and multi-channel SACD ISO images to FLAC format. It fully supports SACD ISOs containing multiple TOCs (Table of Contents), allowing users to extract either the stereo or multi-channel layers as needed.
Multi-channel SACD content can be converted directly to 5.1-channel FLAC with preserved spatial fidelity, or optionally downmixed to stereo FLAC using high-precision mixing algorithms. The converter ensures accurate DSD-to-PCM decoding, supporting output resolutions such as 24-bit/88.2 kHz or 24-bit/96 kHz, depending on user preference
Ideal for archiving or playback on standard PCM-based systems, the tool provides a seamless and accurate path from SACD to FLAC with full support for metadata tagging and high-resolution audio preservation.
CD Ripper
Rip Audio CDs directly to lossless FLAC files with advanced read-error detection and optional two-pass CRC verification. FLAC preserves successfully extracted PCM audio samples without lossy encoding.
Compatible drives may report C2 information, while two-pass sector-by-sector CRC comparison helps flag inconsistent reads. Detailed ripping logs document detected errors and verification results rather than promising error-free extraction from every disc.
Whether ripping a single album or an entire CD collection, FLAC Converter provides reliable, high-precision CD-to-FLAC conversion with full support for metadata tagging and embedded cover art.
CD/DVD Burner
Burn FLAC files directly to standard audio CDs, or convert FLAC to MP3 and create MP3 CDs or DVDs for extended playback support on compatible players.
The burner supports gapless audio CD creation, CD-Text metadata, and customizable track ordering. For MP3 discs, high-efficiency encoding and file system optimization ensure maximum compatibility across car stereos, DVD players, and legacy hardware.

Codecs
All necessary audio codecs are included with the software. There’s no need to download additional codecs from external sources.
The integrated codecs use high-precision audio processing to minimize unnecessary intermediate quantization. Lossless conversions can preserve audio samples under compatible settings; encoding to MP3, AAC or another lossy format remains lossy.
