File format settings

WAV file format
Compatibility mode (< 4GB)

Compatibility mode for the programs that do not support the WAV standard properly. This format contains only file header, fmt chunk, and data chunk in the beginning of the file.

Auto-switch to 64-bit format (RF64)

Auto-switch the WAV format to RF64 if the created file is bigger than 4GB. Adds additional chunk to the beginning of the file. Format is 100% compatible with the standard WAV format.

M4A file format
Use 32-bit file format (< 4GB)

32-bit format is compatible with all programs and devices.

Use 64-bit file format

Must be used if the created file is bigger than 4GB. Format may not be compatible with some old programs or devices.

Gapless playback information
MP3 | Write to ID3V2 tag

Write gapless playback information to the ID3V2 metadata comment field. Gapless playback information is also written to the first MP3 frame and many gapless playback compatible player can use this information.
Enabling this option makes gapless playback information compatible with iTunes, iPod and iPhone.

AAC | Write to ID3V2 tag

Write gapless playback information to the ID3V2 metadata comment field.

M4A | Write to AAC LC files

Write gapless playback information to the M4A file metadata when creating AAC LC file. Gapless playback will work with a compatible player when this option is enabled.

M4A | Write to HE AAC files

Write gapless playback information to the M4A file metadata when creating HE AAC file. Gapless playback will work a compatible player when this option is enabled.
