MusicBrainz First, then EZCD

Post by wilkinp4 » Wed Sep 14, 2022 1:11 pm

Hi, new to EZCD, so I am road testing at the moment. I have used Musicbrainz Picard for many years now, but while testing EZCD it skips tracks which I have previously tagged. Is this normal?

1) Tag with MusicBrainz Picard
then
2) Convert these files with EZ CD Audio Converter

You get an error ?

What is the format of the source files ? (E.g. FLAC, MP3)

The files get skipped. MP3 files, but changing the bit rate to 192CBR. Is there an error log somewhere I can send?

Saying "-> SKIPPED" ?

You don't allow overwriting existing files. You can convert to a different folder

Yes, saying " SKIPPED".

Isn't that defeating the object?

I like your program, it works well, I have it set to delete the original once encoded, but if a file has already been tagged with Picard Musicbrainz your program skips it.

You will get "Skipped" if you

do not allow "Overwrite existing files":

and you do not specify Output Folder or it's the same as source folder:

Skipped: (don't overwrite)

Ahh! Many thanks for the screen shots, it was "Do not overwrite" that I had no tick in.

I shall play some more now, and see how the software performs.

Many thanks.
Paul.
