Hi team,

What is error error detection method C2#1 and C2#2?

After enabling this option I see huge data and CRC errors. Please advise..

Currently I am not able to rip any cds...

Thanks,
Pravin

It seems like it is correctly detecting errors on the disc. There may be scratches or dirt on the disc surface ?

If you would get errors on every sector with C2#1 (you are not) then you would need to switch to C2#2. (They do the exact same thing but use different protocol to communicate with the drive).

C2#1 works for almost all drives but some drives require C2#2.

If neither of the modes would work then it would probably be a driver issue. In this case, it would be possible to download and run https://download.poikosoft.com/devfilter.exe and see what Upper Class and Lower Class Filter drivers there are in the system installed for optical drives in case one of the drivers is the cause for the errorneous behaviour.

Sorry, the link is

https://download.poikosoft.com/devfilter.exe

Is the device connected to SATA or USB ?

The Audio CD in the first picture with C2#1 is in good condition ? If the disc is dirty / has scratches then the EZ CD is correctly detecting data errors. The first track is on outer edge of the disc, it may contain finger prints.

Upper Filter Drivers: No Upper Filter Drivers specified for this device.

Cd is perfect... I cleaned it... no visible scratches...

I think New DVD writer issue...

Do you get errors with other tracks and other discs too ? (C2#1)

You can check if there is a firmware update available for the drive here:

ODD Auto Firmware Update for Windows

Your other drive, Asus works fine with error detection ?

Audio CD Ripper ---> Settings ---> Drive settings ---> set spin-up time to 10 seconds. It fixed any error for me.
I hope it helps
