It is been a long time since I did it. I will need to check the source code project and history for details.

It is Apple Reference source code plus some bug fixes. It is compiled with processor optimizations (Intel C++) for best performance.

What optimizations do you mean ?

The way it is layout like the audio details and tags are placed before audio cause this would perhaps help enhance the quality

Ok thanks! also would it be possible to add more priority levels down the road? like idle below normal normal above normal it just has run as high priority process thought if it had more options might be a lil more helpful

I bought an Android-based streaming music player running KODI and arranged to rip my 900 CDs to digital files. The service doing this says Apple Lossless will work with my set-up and is better than FLAC. Should I go with Apple Lossless?

You are better with FLAC.
There both lossless, unless you are using Apple products there is no reason to switch.
