[ If really needed ? ] DSF to Flac / Dop mode

Hello,

Would you consider adding the option to allow a Dop mode for flac "encoding" ?

Can I ask what is the use for DoP (DSD over PCM) (your case ?) ? DoP makes file and transport larger.

Like the links suggested, The only use case (a quite narrow case I must agree) is to fool applications that don't natively support dsf format to still stream it and have it properly decoded by the dac that recognize the dsf stream.
To be honest, this does not apply to my usage, because the software I use is dsf compatible.
but I figured this would allow me to have proper dsf playback in other environments without having to convert dsf to pcm
