Bitrate in the filename template

Post by jmvision972 » Mon Sep 21, 2020 12:15 pm

Hi
i have a huge audio collection, more than 15500 cds and i'm using the software almost since 1995.
I'm using the following templates
<Album Artist> - <Album> - <Year>\<Track Artist> - <Number> - <Title> .
That works fine for me but to separate Lossless from Lossy files, i'm wondering if you can create another input, the bitrate.
So my template will be
<Album Artist> - <Album> - <Year>\<Track Artist> - <Number> - <Title> - ( %Bitrate KBPS)

For example
Shirley Horn - Shirley Horn With Friends Cd 1 - 2018 - (1411 Kbps)
or for a lossy files
Véronneau - Jazz Samba Project - 2012 - (320 Kbps)
That will be great and avoid me to use another software just to add the bitrate variable.
Many thanks for your reply

Thank you for your suggestion.

Audio Converter does not know the actual output bitrate prior encoding when the new file is created.

However, it is possible to examine the actual bitrate after encoding and rename the output file.

I saved this suggestion to my "list of things to do" list I hope I will be implement this soon to the updated versions.

Also, add format.

<Album Artist> - <Album> (<Year>) <Format>
Goldfrapp - Felt Mountain [2001 Special Edition] (2000) FLAC

The format being FLAC or MP3 ..
This would be useful for ripping or converting in different formats.

:)
