[ Added ] CD ripper does not load custom tags from local database

Post by retierney » Sat Oct 05, 2019 12:26 am

Hello,

When I rip a CD using EZ CD Audio Converter v.9.0.3 [64-bit], I always add custom tags using the ellipsis at the bottom. It works great, the custom tags are written to the audio file. The custom tags are also written to the %LOCALAPPDATA%\EZ CD Audio Converter\cddb\xxxxxx.xml file on my Windows system.

At a later time, if I put the CD back into the drive, EZ CD does not load the custom tags from the XML file; just the "default" tags. In fact, you're sunk. If you eject the CD or close the app with the CD in the drive, the custom tags are lost! EZ CD Audio Converter rewrites the XML file without the custom tags.

I hope this can be fixed without too much difficulty. Thank you very much...

Bob

Edit: I changed the original topic title to match the problem

It's not an actual bug, it just was not implemented :shock:

I just added it, only three lines of code was required for the functionality: :D
else {
// all meta tags
pMeta->Metadata[it->first] = pDiscMetadata->Metadata[pMeta->dwTrackNumber][it->first];
}
If this feature is essential for you I can rebuild the latest version
. I can't release a new update so soon just because of this feature.

Hello again,

You're the greatest poiko. No need to rebuild; I can wait.

Thanks a million...

Hi again,

I'm really sorry for my delay in responding. I forgot to enable notification for replies. I just downloaded the rebuild and it works just great.

Thank you poiko for the super support you give!!!
