Converting doesn't always create a new folder

Post by blabibo » Wed Jan 20, 2021 1:52 pm

If I load an album folder in EZCD to convert in another format, I noticed that if I select "Renames files", the converted files are lumped in the destination without the original folder. If I unselect "Rename files", EZCD creates the album folder and puts the files in it. Is the difference intended or is it a bug? Personnaly I'd like to be able to rename the files AND have EZCD also create the album folder.

You can use backslashes (\) to create folder structure with the Rename File(s) field.

E.g.

Set Rename File(s) field to "<Album Artist> - <Album>\<Number> - <Title>".

Thank you, that worked really well :) I wish I had known that sooner.

This trick doesn't work if the album folder contains sub-folders (like CD1, CD2 etc.) Do you have any suggestion on how to keep the sub-folder structure?

<Album Artist> - <Album>\<<CD<Disc Number>>\<Number>. <Title>

<<CD<Disc Number>> : Double less/greater than symbols means that create the folder only if the metadata has Disc number metadata.
