Editing metadata takes forever

In older versions, dozens of files could be updated in seconds. Now it takes a minute for each file! Is there a fix?

It's possible that the slowness you're experiencing with editing metadata is related to the version of the software you're using, the size of the files you're working with, or the specifications of your computer.
