Issue with base filename when converting

Post by erikjohn » Fri Jun 14, 2024 7:28 am

Hello,
I have a little problem. If I convert "trackname..flac" to a flac of different characteristics, the resulting file is named: "trackname.flac" where the trailing '.' in the base name gets dropped. So if I overwrite old with new, I get one bogus file remaining.

If there is a blank space at the end of the base filename, I also get one bogus file remaining.

I wonder what causes the inccuracy of base filename on conversion. How can I fix that?

Double dots e.g. "example..flac" seem to work fine. The file name generation functions trims spaces from the beginning & from the end of the file name, I will check if the function can be improved to keep trailing spaces.
