Split single MP3 file with CUE without re-encoding

Post by blabibo » Mon Oct 29, 2018 6:50 pm

I don't have many examples of this because I mostly handle lossless files but being able to split MP3 files without re-encoding them would be nice. Like MP3DirectCut does : http://mpesch3.de1.cc/mp3dc.html

matching to this exists a further nice idea

exs. converting mp3 to opus

we can convert to one file..
we can convert to multiple files..

but if i want convert mp3 with a cue file
i need a state between boths..
convert to original state (multi but dont split cue's)

AND - rewrite the cue to the new filename

btw - i have try it with "LosslessCut" a GUI for FFMPEG
its possible to Split/Cut/Merge OPUS without recode
similar MP3DirectCut... would be nice if this feature to split/merge cues
could be possible in more formats then mp3 :D

I'd like something with the same functionality of MP3DirectCut for m4a files.

I know I can convert the m4a to aac and use MP3DirectCut (with a special DLL file) on the aac file and then convert than back to m4a but then all the metadata is gone.
