Upgraded to latest v8.0.7 and still unable to convert AAC LC file to HE ACC format. This file was downloaded from youtube, so suspect audio converter does not understand dash container format. This looks like a bug, since dash format has been around for a number of years and all my Linux audio applications can understand and play such files. This really needs to be supported.

Re: Error decoding AAC file in dash container
I think the file extension is wrong. Change the extension to .m4a and it should work.
.aac extension is usually reserved for adts aac.
I can improve the file contents detection.
