Discogs

Post by c242 » Fri Jul 15, 2011 11:22 am

Hi,

I would really like to see an option in Easy CD-DA to connect to discogs for retrieving data and covers, like MP3Tag does. Would make live easier for many indie electronics and techno CDs.

I agree, even though I use MusicBrainz most of the time, it's a good idea to have freedb available as backup as well as few other free metadata sources like discogs. I also hope that Poiko will add more CD artwork sources to Easy CD-DA Extractor.

I seem to prefer Discogs also in MP3tag, so that would be a nice addition to Easy CD-DA Extractor also.

I also agree, is there any chance for such plugin?
Most titles of alternative and indie electronic music are not part of freedb or MusicBrainz.

add a vote from me for Discogs

I use it a lot in mp3tag for "underground" stuff

Count me in.

A Discogs url in the metadata would be nice too.
