Easy-to-use audio file converter software with professional audio quality
Settings > General > File format settings
These settings control how audio files are created when converting to WAV format, how Cue Sheet metadata and how playlists are saved.
Wave
WAV file format setting.
Compatibility Mode (< 4GB)
Enable this option if you need maximum compatibility with older programs or devices that do not fully support the WAV standard.
Keeps file structure simple (header + format + data at the beginning)
Recommended only if you experience playback issues in older software
Limited to files smaller than 4 GB
Auto-switch to 64-bit Format (RF64)
Automatically switches to the RF64 format when the output file exceeds 4 GB.
Prevents file size limitations of standard WAV
Adds an extended header to support large files
Fully compatible with modern audio software
Recommendation: Leave this enabled unless you specifically need legacy compatibility.
Cue Sheet (.cue)
Cue Sheet stores the layout of an audio disc, including track positions (indexes), metadata (such as artist, title, and genre), and references to a disc image audio file. This makes it possible to represent multiple tracks within a single continuous audio file and reproduce the original CD structure during playback or disc burning.
Character Set
ANSI - Best for older systems; limited character support
UTF8 - Recommended for most users; supports international characters
Unicode - Broad compatibility with extended character sets
Additional Metadata
Select which metadata fields are written into the cue sheet:
Application
Year (Date)
Genre
Publisher
Comment
Label
Catalog Number
Copyright
Conductor
Tip: Enable only the fields you need to keep cue sheets clean and compatible.
Playlist (.m3u / .m3u8)
Playlists allow you to easily load and play converted tracks in media players.
Character Set Options
ANSI (.m3u) - Basic compatibility, limited character support
UTF8 (.m3u) - Recommended for modern players
Unicode (.m3u) - Wide character support
UTF8 (.m3u8) - Best option for full compatibility and international text
Recommendation: Use UTF8 (.m3u8) for the best balance of compatibility and character support.
General Tips
Use RF64 auto-switch for large files to avoid size limits
Choose UTF8 or UTF8 (.m3u8) for modern systems and international text
Only enable metadata fields you actually need
Use compatibility mode only if you encounter playback issues
